IP Assistant

Helsinki Finland Apply before: 2022-08-31

Are you a proactive team player with a thorough grasp of work? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, with an international twist? We are now looking for an Assistant to join our Intellectual Property team in Helsinki!

Your duties & responsibilities

As an IP Assistant, you will get to work in a challenging but rewarding position, where you have the opportunity to develop your skills. In this role, you will be able to specialize and grow as a professional especially in the field of trademarks.

By joining a truly international firm, you will also work closely with your international colleagues especially from the Nordics and the UK.

Your duties as an IP Assistant include, for example:

  • drafting and filing trademark-related applications and communications to the authorities (including PRH, EUIPO and WIPO) with the support of our IP team’s lawyers
  • communicating with clients and our international offices
  • various other tasks related to trademark administration, including docketing and deadline monitoring; and
  • assisting our lawyers in versatile assignments.

In your work, you will also get to help with drafting documents and presentations, event arrangements, invoicing and other administrative tasks.

Your profile

You can either be at the early stage of your career or you can have several years of experience from an assistant role – what we value the most is your attitude and your willingness to develop into an expert in your field. Ideally, you have a relevant educational background, e.g. a BBA degree from University of Applied Sciences. Your possible previous experience in trademarks and interest in the field of business law is considered as an advantage.

In addition, you will thrive with us if you have:

  • a service-minded attitude, determined to deliver high-quality administrative support
  • excellent communication skills, both in Finnish and English, Swedish being considered as a strong asset
  • a keen eye for details
  • an ability to work under pressure and to manage several projects simultaneously
  • excellent IT skills, including e.g. good command of Microsoft Office tools
  • experience and understanding of business and a good level of marketing skills (e.g. presentations, writing and proofreading) are considered a highly valued asset; and
  • a good sense of humor – we are serious about business, but we truly believe that working should be fun!

What will you be offered?

You will get to work with great colleagues in a supportive and professional working environment. You will work in an international and diverse surrounding, where different people and skills are valued. With us, you will also have the rare opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a truly international law firm, such as international events and our Nordic and Global Professional Development Programmes.
